You can change a child’s life just like Tray!

We met Tray at our Little Rock Dream Center a few years back. He was well mannered; did ok in school; and loved basketball, football, & everything else sports. So when we got a message to be praying for Tray we were all in shock. He was being rushed to the ER because his heart was racing and he was having problems breathing.  Tray wasn’t home but a few hours and he was headed back to the … [Read more...]

With our Prison Ministry Partner we REACH into the prison communities before these men and women return to the … [Read more...]

Meet David (Not his real picture or his real name, but his real story)

At a recent team meeting we were discussing a young boy we will call David for sake of privacy.  David is in Kindergarten and when he arrives, he walks very carefully and stiffly up the sidewalk , when he walks in the doors he doesn’t walk up to the counter like the other kids.  Instead he walks around the desk and stands behind one of our staff members. From this safe place he peeks around the … [Read more...]

Meet Shawn, Katie, & Michael!

WOW!  It has been a busy winter.  We just finished up our 12th night of hosting the Warming Center for Little Rock’s unsheltered homeless and I wanted to take a minute and tell you one story about three of our over 1,200 guests we’ve been able to help. Shawn, Katie, & their five-year-old son Michael lost their home, their jobs, and most everything else.  They spent their last few dollars … [Read more...]

Without warming centers such as ours and others throughout the area our homeless friends would be in direct danger of death from exposure in these dangerous temperatures, it's for this reason that we are … [Read more...]

Just a Little Dignity

One mom was concerned about her kids not having what they needed for school. She had just gotten a job, and wouldn't get paid until the first day of school. She was planning on shopping for them as soon as she got paid, but was worried that her kids would go to school the first day without uniforms or supplies. Thanks to the ARDC, the girls have the supplies they need but clothes for the first day … [Read more...]

This is God’s House

In the after school program in Little Rock we began to notice that most of the kids, even the ones who attend church regularly, are not familiar with the Bible and have very little understanding of God. Most of the kids are afraid of God, but have no idea how much He loves them. About midway through the school year we began doing family style devotions with the kids with the intent to teach them … [Read more...]
